Her curiosity leads her to Dewey, a librarian in the Winter Woods, and eventually to a frost fairy named . The two discover they were born from the same baby’s laugh, making them sisters. The rest of the film follows their attempts to stay together despite the environmental dangers; warm-season fairies’ wings are fragile in the cold, and winter fairies cannot survive the heat of Pixie Hollow.
