While Paulo Coelho has never released a book explicitly titled The Pilgrimage 2 , many readers consider his later works, such as The Alchemist or Aleph , to be spiritual sequels. The Pilgrimage (1987) follows Paulo’s journey along the Road to Santiago (Camino de Santiago), where he learns that the extraordinary is found in the way of ordinary people.
In a way, Coelho has already written The Pilgrimage 2 . It exists in his subsequent novels. The Zahir deals with obsession and losing one's way; Aleph deals with a journey through time and forgiveness when the author felt his spiritual practice had grown stale.
