While the instructions for installing AUSKey are informative, it is vital to contextualize them within the current digital landscape. The Australian government has been actively phasing out AUSKey in favor of a newer, more versatile authentication standard known as RAM (Relationship Access Manager). RAM allows users to link their individual myGovID to their business, creating a more flexible and modern authentication process that does not rely on browser-specific software installations. Consequently, new businesses are generally directed toward RAM rather than AUSKey. However, the principles of secure access and identity verification established by the AUSKey installation process remain the foundation of the new system.
