Kerley Lines X Ray __link__

When pulmonary capillary wedge pressure rises (typically >20-25 mmHg), fluid first transudates into the (early edema). With further pressure increase, fluid moves peripherally into the interlobular septa , where it becomes visible on X-ray as Kerley lines. Thus, Kerley lines indicate moderate to severe interstitial edema —often a step before alveolar edema (bat-wing opacities).
