While modern cloud services like Google Photos do this seamlessly in the cloud, My Image Garden was an early attempt to bring this logic locally to the desktop, specifically designed to utilize the MX490’s hybrid ink system (dye-based color for photos, pigment black for text) to justify the existence of the printer beyond a mere document copier.
