Ontario Works has a network of dental providers who participate in the program. Participants can choose from a list of approved dentists who have agreed to provide services at a negotiated rate. You can ask your OW caseworker or contact the Ontario Dental Association for a list of participating dentists.
For adults on OW, the focus is on pain relief and emergency intervention. It is generally not designed for cosmetic dentistry or elective procedures.
Not all dentists accept Ontario Works patients. You need to find a dentist who accepts the municipal dental plan. You can ask your current dentist if they accept OW, or call your local public health unit for a list of participating providers.
