Wrong. /sync doesn’t reapply unchanged policies – it just waits for background cycles to finish.
The /force option is useful when you want to ensure that all Group Policy settings are refreshed and applied, such as after making changes to the Group Policy Object (GPO). gpupdate /sync vs /force
Overkill. A normal gpupdate reapplies only changed policies. /force reapplies – unnecessary in 95% of cases. gpupdate /sync vs /force
