Gmail will now appear in your Start Menu and on your desktop. You can right-click the icon and select "Pin to Taskbar" for easy access. When you click it, Gmail opens in its own clean window, looking and feeling like a native app.
Windows 10 and 11 support a feature called PWAs. This allows you to take a website (like Gmail) and "install" it as an application. It gets its own icon, its own window (without the address bar clutter), and can be pinned to your taskbar.
