The workflow generally looks like this:
Navigate to > Manage Product Keys (or follow the activation prompt on startup). Click Activate with a product key . Enter your product key and click Activate .
Offline activation isn't harder than online activation; it is simply asynchronous . You are essentially playing "telephone" between your server and Tableau's servers via a USB stick.
