Padmanabhaswamy Temple: Door

Legends whisper that the door can only be opened by a "Garuda Mantra" chanted by a pure ascetic. Others fear that forcing it open might trigger a catastrophe or unleash a serpent deity protecting the treasures within.

Local tradition and the temple’s thantra (ritual manual) state that Vault B is closed by a (serpent-binding). This is not a physical lock but a sound-based or consciousness-based seal. The door can only open when a specific mantra is recited in perfect pitch by a fully realized naga siddha . Without it, the door is said to cause “seven generations of ruin” to anyone who forces it.

To this day, it remains one of the world's greatest modern mysteries: Does Chamber B hold enough wealth to change the global economy, or is it empty? Or is it protecting something far more valuable than gold?
