The availability of Primosiston varies by country and region. In some countries, it is available by prescription only, while in others, it may be available over-the-counter.

It is generally not suitable for individuals who are pregnant, have severe liver disease, or have undiagnosed vaginal bleeding.

Effective and reliable for its intended use

The medication works by stabilizing the uterine lining (endometrium). When the hormones are taken, they maintain the lining; once the treatment course is finished, the sudden drop in hormone levels typically triggers a "withdrawal bleed," essentially resetting the cycle.

One pill, three times a day, starting exactly three days before the expected date of the period.
