Unlike K-dramas (16 episodes) or Western shows (8-10 episodes), C-dramas are long. Most have between 24 and 60+ episodes. While this can be intimidating, it allows for deep character development and intricate side plots. It is like reading a long, satisfying novel.
C-dramas excel at tension. A single glance or a hesitant hand-touch can feel more romantic than a Western sex scene because of the emotional buildup. Be warned: you will experience "internal screaming" at the screen many times.
