In 2009, a hacker named "Vississ" discovered a previously unknown vulnerability in the Xbox 360's JTAG (Joint Test Action Group) port. This port, used for debugging and testing, was left open on early Xbox 360 models. By exploiting this vulnerability, users could inject custom code into the console, effectively jailbreaking it.
