My Favourite Season Summer Review
One summer in particular stands out in my mind. I was 16, and my friends and I had decided to take a road trip to a music festival in a nearby city. We'd been planning it for months, and the excitement was building up inside us like a pressure cooker. We packed up our car with snacks, maps, and a cooler full of drinks, and set off early on a sunny morning. The music festival was a blast – we danced the day away to our favourite bands, and even discovered some new ones. As we drove back home that night, the sun setting over the hills, we all agreed that it was one of the best summers of our lives.
But lying in bed that night, the window open, listening to the drip-drip-drip from the gutters, I didn’t think about the end. I just pulled the cool, damp sheet over my legs, felt the tired, happy ache in my bones, and smiled. my favourite season summer
