For 35 years, the victim, discovered in a Caledonia cornfield on November 10, 1979, was known only by her nickname, "Cali Doe". In 2015, advanced DNA testing finally identified her as Tammy Jo Alexander , a 16-year-old runaway from Brooksville, Florida.
