At church, Sheldon is assigned to Mrs. Ingleby, a sweet but overly cheerful elderly docent tasked with showing him the church’s historical artifacts. Sheldon immediately corrects her pronunciation of “Maccabees.” Mrs. Ingleby laughs it off, but Sheldon follows her around with a clipboard, grading her performance: “Docent Score: 3 out of 10. Just as Georgie leans in for a kiss, Sheldon walks in with Mary and the docent Mrs. Ingleby (post-church dinner). Sheldon loudly announces, “Georgie is on a date! Statistically, 63% of high school romances end before prom.”
Mrs. Ingleby eventually breaks down in the basement, crying among dusty hymnals. “I just wanted to help children appreciate God’s house,” she sniffles.
