This paper analyzes the Zen Edition’s technical improvements, quality-of-life changes, and its role in preserving a niche RTS title for contemporary audiences. It argues that the Zen Edition serves as a model for how small-scale remasters can respect original design philosophies while addressing long-standing community grievances.
