Although Genelia hasn't played professional cricket, she has been involved in several cricket-related ventures:

Genelia was the brand ambassador and the "face" of the Veer Marathi team, owned by her husband, Riteish Deshmukh.

Despite her talent, Genelia’s cricketing career took a backseat due to her exploding film career. She made her acting debut in 2003 with the box office hit Tujhe Meri Kasam , and the demands of the film industry made it impossible to pursue the rigorous schedule required for state-level cricket.
