On macOS, the UM2 is Class Compliant. This means it uses Apple's built-in Core Audio drivers rather than Behringer’s custom code.
Older versions of the UM2 driver do not have Microsoft’s digital signature. Windows 11 will block the installation.
For years, Behringer listed the wrong driver for the UM2 on their legacy product pages. Many users mistakenly downloaded the driver for the larger UMC204HD or UMC404HD , which uses a different USB controller chip. Installing the wrong driver will result in the interface not working, freezing your DAW, or showing "USB Audio Codec" errors.
