The film tells the story of Ishaan Awasthi, an eight-year-old boy who sees the world differently. While his elders see a lazy, troublesome, and academically weak child, Ishaan is actually a vibrant artist trapped in a system that only values grades. He suffers from dyslexia, a learning disability that makes it difficult for him to read or write, yet his condition goes unnoticed by his frustrated parents. In a heartbreaking turn of events, his father, blinded by the pressure to make his son "successful," sends Ishaan away to a boarding school, viewing it as a disciplinary measure.
