Ubuntu Arm64
In 2018, AWS dropped a bombshell: . It was their own server processor, based on ARM64. Suddenly, the enterprise world needed an OS that ran perfectly on this new hardware. Because Canonical had spent years refining Ubuntu ARM64, they were ready. Ubuntu became the default and recommended operating system for AWS Graviton instances. It offered a seamless transition—system administrators could use the same apt-get commands and the same scripts they used on Intel servers.
Canonical worked closely with these hardware vendors to ensure that Ubuntu supported their ARM64-based servers. This collaboration led to the development of optimized Ubuntu images for these platforms, which enabled customers to deploy Ubuntu on ARM64-based servers. ubuntu arm64
