Gormharald

(literally "Gorm’s Realm" from Old Norse Gorms harald ? harald ? More accurately: Gorms ríki or Gormsharald is a modern construct; historically, it refers to the domain of Gorm the Old (Gorm den Gamle), the first historically recognized king of a unified Denmark, ruling c. 936 – c. 958 AD). The term is used by some historians and enthusiasts to denote the proto-kingdom that formed the bedrock of the Danish monarchy.

They say that when a king dies in the North, the sky turns grey for three days. But when King Gorm died, the sky turned white. Not the white of snow, but the blinding, featureless white of a canvas that has been erased. gormharald
