Season 1 of I’m a Celebrity…Get Me Out of Here! was an experiment in celebrity endurance. Devised by Granada Television (now ITV Studios), the show stripped eight celebrities of their luxuries and dropped them into the Australian jungle, forcing them to survive on basic rations while competing in grueling "Bushtucker Trials" to earn food.
