This is the standard "common bolt." It has a minimum tensile strength of 60,000 psi (414 MPa) and a maximum hardness of 100 HRB. Grade A bolts are typically used in low-pressure piping flanges, couplings, and general repairs. They are often manufactured with a hex head and are available in sizes ranging from 1/4" to 4" in diameter.
