The industry surrounding unblocking MiTele is technically a grey market. While using a VPN is legal in most countries, it almost universally violates the Terms of Service of the streaming platform. Mediaset España declined to comment for this feature, but their stance is clear in their user agreements: circumvention is prohibited.

“It’s a constant battle,” says Sarah. “Users might find a server that works on Tuesday, only for it to be blacklisted by Friday. It creates a frustrating user experience where reliability is the only currency that matters.”

mitele actively blocks known proxy and free VPN IP ranges. You'll either get an immediate block or constant buffering. Free services also lack bandwidth for HD streaming and may sell your data.

This has led to a technological arms race. Premium VPN providers like ExpressVPN, NordVPN, and Surfshark now employ teams of engineers whose sole job is to monitor server status and rotate IP addresses. When MiTele identifies and blocks a server, the VPN provider swaps it out for a fresh one.
