If you are playing on a multiplayer server or prefer a more traditional "command line" style, you can use Admin Commands. If you are the server host, you already have these permissions. If you are a player, you must be granted admin status by the host. To use these, simply type them into the in-game chat box. Use /setaccesslevel "username" admin to grant full powers to a specific player. Use /godmode "username" to toggle invincibility for yourself or others. Use /creative "username" to enable building cheats. Use /additem "Base.Axe" 1 to spawn specific items (note that you must use the internal item ID). There is a purist community that will tell you that cheating "ruins the spirit of the game." Ignore them. Project Zomboid is a $20 game you own. Once you are in your save file, you will see a small "mosquito" icon on the left side of your screen. Clicking this opens the Debug Menu. From here, you can access several powerful panels. The General Debug Options allow you to toggle God Mode, which makes you invincible to damage and infection. You can also toggle Ghost Mode to become invisible to zombies or use Creative Mode to build structures instantly without needing materials or tools. The Items List allows you to search for any item in the game—from katanas to sledgehammers—and spawn them directly into your inventory. The Cheat Menu for health allows you to instantly heal specific body parts, remove fatigue, or quench thirst and hunger with a single click.
Use the "Teleport" function to move your character to specific coordinates on the map, which is great for scouting Louisville before you actually drive there.
